Workshops

The Center for the Advancement of Population Assessment Methodology (CAPAM) has organized a series of Workshops since its establishment in 2012 as part of its Good Practices in Stock Assessment Modeling Program for improving fishery stock assessments. The Workshops involve both national and international scientists, from worldwide leaders to early career scientists and students. Over 20 countries and over 100 students have had participants in the CAPAM workshops. The Workshops are a continuation of the Inter- American Tropical Tuna Commission’s (IATTC) October stock assessment methodology workshop series that ran for about 10 years.
