Quantitative Fisheries Stock Assessment Course in Peru

Stock Synthesis (SS) Course in Peru, November 14-18, 2016

This fisheries stock assessment course was organized by CAPAM Research Scientist Dr. Juan Valero, and taught at the Instituto del Mar del Peru (IMARPE), Callao, Peru during November 14-18, 2016. This is part of CAPAM's Education and Training Program. The course was partially funded by IMARPE and GEF-PND Humboldt.

The course was attended by 20 fishery scientists and students from IMARPE. Course participants received instruction and demonstrations on SS model capabilities as well as worked on implementing SS model configurations using data for fisheries they are responsible for conducting stock assessments or are conducting research on.
